" Masjid Mujahidin Desa Rejai Kecamatan Bakung Serumpun, semulanya adalah sebuah surau/Mushalla yang didirikan pada tahun 1992 dengan cara gotong royong oleh masyarakat yang ada di wilayah Dusun 02 Desa Rejai yang pada saat itu masih kecamatan Senayang Kabupaten Kepulauan Riau,berkat usaha dan kerja keras masyarakat dan pengurus mushalla akhirnya dapat lah berdiri bangunan semi permanen.Seiring waktu berjalan akhirnya berkembang pesat seiring dengan mobilisasi masyarakat yang meningkat, akhirnya timbulah pemikiran untuk melakukan renovasi pada arah pembangunan yang lebih maju, seiring dengan perkembangan zaman akhirnya pengurus dengan dukungan masyarakat dusun tersebut memohon rekomendasi kepada pihak-pihak terkait untuk merubah dari mushalla Mujahidin menjadi masjid Mujahidin,"
